I'm (kinda) back!

I'm so sorry that I have not posted in months. School started and I coudnt keep up with doing posts and school work and then my mom dropped my camera and I coudn't take pictures of swatches. So I do have a few pictures now that I will post but I probably won't have any new ones untill after Christmas becouse I am getting a new camera as a present. So don't worry I have not abandond my blog. Well that is all for now! See ya!

Disco Lights by Milani Cosmetics

        Hey! Sorry I have not posted in a while, I was at camp. While I was at camp I painted my nails with my counselor's polish and I loved it! I loved it so much that I will probably buy it. The color is Disco Lights By Milani Cosmetics. This is the first Milani Polish I have used and I loved it! Disco Lights is a regular Milani Nail Lacquer. It  is a pink and silver glitter. In this picture I used 3 coates. Since I was at camp I didn't have a top coat or base coat. If I did this again I would definetly use them. I imagine it will be very hard to get off and it is a little bumpy. A top coat would definetly fix the texture! Just so you know my pictures dont do it justice. In person my nails look like pink disco balls! My nails have already chipped after two days, but I didn't use a top coat and I was doing camp activities for one of the days. Well, untill next time!

Mermaid to Order from Sephora by OPI

Hey everybody! Sorry i havent posted yet, yesterday i just got back from Orlando Florida! I was so glad to paint my nails again! Mermaid to Order is this shimmery blue color. Usually these kinds of colors dont have a very good consistancy, and you have to put multiple coats on, but not this color! you only need to put 2 coats on and youre ready to go! for a finishing touch i used Super Fast Dry Through Top Coat Miracote by  Duri Cosmetics. It extends the life of your nailpolish (does that make sence?) and ads some extra shine!

oh and p.s.: sorry my hands are so wrinkly!!! Im not an old lady!!!!!

Miracote from duri cosmetics

Hey! I got a new top coat yesterday. I wanted to get the one from Seche Vite (is that how you spell it) but when I went to the hair salon they didn't have it so I got Miracote from duri cosmetics. The bottle says its a super fast dry through top coat. I definetly think its a good fast dry top coat. It is really good. I mean after a few minutes it is dry to touch but you can still get dents in it if you hit it againt somthing. It is really good though. I was excited about this so I redid my nails w\this morning with the same color though as last time lol. But then I spilled a white nail polish pen polish all over me soooo....yea. lol Well see you later!

Blanc by Essie

Hey!    Today's polish is Blanc by Essie, which is a pretty white! I did like this polish, but it is thick which I think allmost all Essie polishes are like that. I don't mind it though. I've wanted a good white for a while and im excited that I have this one. I used Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat as a base coat and Colorstay Revlon Always on Sealant as a top coat. I did get a new top coat so I will try it the next time I paint my nails.I think I finally figured out the pictures! I'll post again soon!

Slushied from Sephora by OPI

        Hey! Today's nail polish is Slushied by OPI, which is a beautiful blue color! It is a color from the Sephora by OPI Glee 6 Piece Mini Kit. You can get it in a full bottle though, but it may not be available in stores any more. I really like the color, but the finish is not the best. You definetly need a top coat. As usuall I used Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat as a base coat and then Colorstay Revlon Always on Sealant as a top coat. Well thats all for now!

Splatter Paint Nails

Hey everyone! JUst did a manicure a day or 2 ago and it is my attempt at splatter paint. I didn't do it that well, but I got the idea from the blog, thepolishaholic. I give all credit to her. The link is http://www.thepolishaholic.com/2011/06/neon-splatter-mani-tutorial.html. I did do my own spin on it with the colors. For a base i used Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat and then I used a really old miny white OPI polish from an old halloween set as the main color. Then I used Limelight from Funky Fingers (lime green). I also used Bizerk Turq from Funky Fingers (blueish color).Then I used a dark purple polish from Delia's. These three colors where the splatters. I used Colorstay Revlon Always on Sealant as a top coat. This is not the best manicure becouse the splatters did not come out the best, but I think its still pretty cool! Hope you enjoyed! p.s. I think I'm getting better at taking the pictures!

Sephora by OPI Caliente Coral

       Hey everyone! Today's nail color is Caliente Coral, which is in the Havana Nights collection from Sephora by OPI. I know these colors came out awhile ago, but I think you can still get them some places. I have the Havana Nights Mini Collection and it has some really nice colors. The only thing with the minis is that the brush is small so I feel like I can't put it on my nail as well as a full size and I am half way out of Caliente Coral. In the picture above I used Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat for my base and an old bottle of Colorstay Revlon Always on Sealant as a top coat. These two are o.k., but I really want to try the CND Stickey Base Coat and the Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. I have two coats of Caliente Coral on. I know these pictures are not the best becouse there blurry and all, but I'm still trying to figure out how to do thia well. But I do think it shows the color o.k. In real life it is a little darker though. Right now I am really loving orange nails! Since this color is running out I'm thinking about getting Essie Meet Me At Sunlight or Essie Braziliant. Our New Blog!

     We are very excited to start this blog! We have wanted to for ages, but have never done it! This is the first time we have done somthing like this and we can't wait to get started! In this blog, livelovenailpolish, we will do reviews on different brands and colors of nail polish. We might even do some tutorials! This is really short, but its just an introduction!
